Ceramic Dental Implants

Guided Implant Surgery

Dr. Petersen at Biosmiles offers guided implant surgery as an innovative and effective way to replace missing teeth. Guided implant surgery uses advanced computer-guided technology to produce a 3D model of the patient's mouth. This provides a clear view of the dental anatomy and enables Dr. Petersen to precisely plan the dental implant procedure. During the surgery, a surgical guide is used to ensure the highest level of accuracy in implant placement, making the procedure efficient and minimally invasive for the patient. Dr. Petersen will work closely with patients to customize their implant procedure to achieve natural-looking teeth that match their unique dental needs. With guided implant surgery, patients can receive the highest standard of dental care with minimal discomfort, faster recovery times, and predictable outcomes.

Ceramic Zirconia Implants

Hypoallergenic

Zirconia dental implants are a type of ceramic called zirconium oxide. Unlike traditional metal implants, zirconia dental implants are hypoallergenic and non-corrosive, making them an excellent option for patients with allergies or sensitivities to other dental materials. Studies find the conductivity of metal implants promotes more bacterial and plaque growth than metal free zirconia dental implants.

Osseointegration

One of the most significant benefits of zirconia dental implants is their ability to integrate with the jawbone through osseointegration. Because zirconia has a high level of contact with the bone, it can fuse with the implant more effectively than titanium implants. Zirconia dental implants are strong and secure because they fuse with bone better than metal implants. In addition to zirconia implants, we offer supportive therapies like ozone and PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) to improve healing time and bone integration. We can also add bone structure to support dental implants using bone grafts and PRF if needed.

More Aesthetic

Zirconia dental implants are better-looking because zirconia looks a lot like enamel. Metal dental implants, over time, can corrode and darken sometimes this is visible through a worn crown or the soft gum tissue. This is not a concern with metal free zirconia dental implants because they are non-corrosive, less allergenic, and will stay bright and attractive for many decades or even a lifetime.
