BioSmiles

Platelet-Rich Fibrin

At BioSmiles, we proudly offer an innovative biological treatment called PRF, or Platelet-Rich Fibrin. PRF effectively heals and regenerates tissue, making it a highly effective therapy to improve heal time after surgical procedures. PRF is a truly minimally invasive biocompatible solution for a speedier recovery.

What is PRF?

Derived from a small sample of your blood, PRF is a healing substance that contains platelets, fibrin, stem cells, growth factor, and white blood cells. These components promote healthy healing and speedy recovery. PRF is an excellent choice for tissue regeneration when surgical procedures are necessary, such as dental implants, extractions, gum grafts, and bone grafts.

After surgical procedures, PRF is used as a membrane to promote the body's natural healing process. It controls inflammation, boosts immunity, increases collagen production, and stimulates the formation of new blood vessels and provides a scaffold for bone and soft tissue to heal.

For example, traditional bone grafting materials include cow, cadaver, or synthetic materials, which have a low success rate due to a high risk of rejection. But PRF made from your own blood stimulates formation of new blood vessels, bone cells, and supports immune function. PRF supports both soft and hard tissue repair.

Is PRF Safe?

PRF is an ideal therapy for promoting recovery after surgeries and when a bone graft is needed because there is no risk of rejection or other complications associated with traditional grafting materials.

PRF is a 100% biocompatible alternative solution made from only your blood. It is safe to use, and there is no risk of adverse reactions. It requires only a small amount of blood, similar to a blood test, without additional additives.
